NOS run on servers, facilitating data management, user administration, and network activities. They offer shared access to files, printers, and applications, enhancing collaboration and efficiency, while providing tight security measures.


Advantages of Computer Networks:

Computer networks facilitate seamless file sharing and remote access, enabling users to access files and resources from any connected device. This eliminates the need for physical storage devices and promotes collaboration among users. Additionally, centralized data storage on network servers ensures data integrity and accessibility for authorized users.

Resource sharing is another significant benefit of computer networks. Instead of each user requiring individual hardware resources such as modems and printers, a network allows for shared access to these resources. This reduces hardware costs and promotes efficient utilization of resources, benefiting organizations financially and operationally.

Moreover, computer networks offer cost-effective setup and maintenance. Shared resources and centralized management result in reduced hardware and software expenditures. Software applications need to be installed only once on the network server, making them accessible to all connected devices simultaneously. Disadvantages of Computer Networks:
